My Cooking Goddess Part 1

When asked what I would like for dinner on Saturday, I immediately thought about the Broccoli Beef recipes I had on my Pinterest Food board. I pinned those recipes because my favorite Thai place in Fort Worth, Junsuree Thai, closed down a few months ago and has left me craving Broccoli Beef. My Love, aka Cooking Goddess, has a way with taking a recipe or two or three and making them her own. Well, she did just that with the best Broccoli Beef I have ever had.

I can not really explain what she did to come up with this fabulous meal. She tells me she took the first parts of one recipe (the marinade for the meat), added parts of another (flash frying the meat), and finished with the sauce of the last one. Yes, you read that right… she flashed fried the beef. I think that is what took this to the next level. Of course I had to take advantage of the deep fryer being used, so I ran out to the garden and harvested some kale. Yep, I made my first batch of green crack fried kale. We completed the meal with brown rice. We have been on a low carb diet for over a year. We both forgot how much we love rice. Anyhoo, here is a pic (sorry it is not very good) of our glorious dinner.
